Educational Model
Vanguard Academy is a tuition-free public charter school designed to prepare students for college, careers, and lifelong success through a strong focus on math, science, leadership, music, and character development. Our educational model combines rigorous academics with practical, real-world preparation so students can build the skills, confidence, and habits they need to succeed beyond high school.
Students at Vanguard have access to STEAM coursework, Career and Technical Education pathways, concurrent enrollment opportunities, academic advising, and individualized planning supports. Through tools like Graduation Progress Summary plans, Decision Trees, Leadership Advisory, and schoolwide study skills routines, students learn how to set goals, track progress, plan for the future, and take responsibility for their learning.
Vanguard also uses a data-driven instructional model to support student success. Teachers regularly monitor student progress, respond quickly when students need additional help, and provide targeted supports through our academic and student support systems. Our goal is to ensure that every student has access to challenging coursework, meaningful guidance, and the support needed to thrive academically, personally, and professionally.
