James Huntington graduated from the University of Utah in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and degrees in accounting and business from Western Governors University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Utah and has grant writing and auditing experience.

Joelle Prentice is currently the Vice Principal of Academics and Board Clerk at Vanguard Academy. She has ten years of experience in the education industry, six of which have been spent teaching social studies in a secondary setting. Joelle has multiple years of leadership experience serving as the Social Studies Department Head and Student Government Advisor at Vanguard Academy. In addition, she also has experience teaching elementary students and working as a paraprofessional. Joelle holds professional administrative and teaching licenses in the state of Utah. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University and her Bachelor’s of Arts in History from the University of Utah.

Michael Kingston

Michael graduated with a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Utah in 2011 along with his Bachelors in Computer Science. He has over 18 years of industry experience in IT and software development along with systems engineering, operations and management. Michael has had the privilege of working on numerous projects including various satellite/space programs involving GPS and DMSP and numerous software development projects for government, healthcare, and banking systems. Michael has loved working in education, and is tremendously excited to help students reach their goals and highest academic potential.

She is passionate about creating a positive school culture and helping all staff and students reach their full potential. Rachel believes in building strong relationships with students, staff, and families while maintaining high expectations for academic success.

Evelyn McKay serves as the Vice Principal of Vanguard Academy Middle School. With 18 years of experience in education, she has held a variety of roles including teacher, subject coordinator, instructional leader, and administrator. Evelyn holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. She is passionate about supporting student success, fostering a positive school culture, and partnering with families and staff to help every student reach their full potential.
