Admissions

Applications for our enrollment for each school year are accepted from January 1st through January 31st of the prior school year.

All applications received after 11:59 pm on January 31st will be added to the waitlists in the order in which they are received and according to enrollment priority categories.

If the number of enrollment applications exceeds the number of seats available, we will schedule a lottery. Vanguard’s lottery

Vanguard does not charge enrollment fees.

Our charter allows us to enroll a total of:

• 510 students for SY 2022
• 530 students for SY 2023
• 550 students for SY 2024
• 600 students for SY 2025

These enrollment totals include returning students. We typically enroll approximately 100-150 new students each year. The number of spots available varies each year depending on the enrollment cap, current total students, total graduates, and students who leave Vanguard early for any reason.

Usually, a large percentage of seventh-grade applicants receive an offer.

Our annual retention rate is over 90%, so openings for higher grades and wait-listed students are more limited.

Previous schools attended by students accepted during the enrollment process will be informed by the Vanguard Admissions department of the student’s intent to transfer to Vanguard from another charter school.

Vanguard admissions will also request student records from previous schools attended.
